The Masters were out (if not in force) in fighting spirit, at this year’s Medway Masters.  They were impressively led by Phil Bradley who achieved a golden haul of four 1st places.  He was ably backed up by Roger Cooper, two 2nds and one 3rd.  Peter Stone achieved two 3rd places and Mike Walsh a 2nd, 5th and 6th.

For the ladies Claire White achieved a 1st and two seconds.  Carol Denton two 2nd places and a 3rd.  Shirley Kurek a 3rd, 4th and 6th  and in her first gala Anouskha Johnson a 4th.

In the relays they were assisted by Ann and Stuart Hatherly, Jane Law and Michelle Daniels.  An impressive haul of three 1st places, two 2nd places, two 3rd and one 4th were gained by our small in number, but enthusiastic swimmers.

Overall Gravesend and Northfleet came a very credible third best club.
